The chest is light blue all the way down to the base of the tail, where it mixes with pale grey and white.

Average Lifespan: 10+ years
Sexing: This species is not sexually dimorphic, which means there is no visible difference between male and female. The only sure way to know the sex of these parrots is with a DNA test.
Origin: Australia
Trainability: If purchased from a young age these birds are easily hand-tamed and can become very trusting and affectionate. They will not speak but some may imitate whistles or sounds. Like most parrots, they enjoy attention and time with their caregivers and will happily spend all day with you. Simple tricks such as putting an object into a basket may be taught if one has enough patience, though parakeets are typically not known for their ability to do tricks.
Loudness: This species is an ideal apartment bird. Their repertoire of calls includes mostly low chirps and twittering that is actually very pleasing to listen to. They are not considered loud birds by any means so if you’re looking for something that is both beautiful and soft-spoken, this species would be an excellent choice.

Health Guarantee of Our Birds
We have the strongest bird guarantee in the country, and more importantly, we stand behind our guarantee. The guarantee is simple: We guarantee that we are selling you a perfectly healthy bird. To verify that guarantee, within five days you need to go to an Avian Vet and get any and all testing you prefer to do on your bird, at your expense. We can guide you as to the tests we suggest. If the results are not perfect but the bird can be easily treated, then we pay for all medications and all treatment. If the results are unacceptable then we either replace your bird or refund 100% of the purchase price of your bird, at our option.

Bird Guarantee only lasts for the first five days
Since we have 100% control over the bird's environment at our store, but have no control over the bird once it leaves, we can only guarantee the bird for the first five days. We guarantee that when the bird leaves the store that it has been properly socialized, and that it is 100% healthy.
